Feeding infants and newly born kids directly with breast milk from a woman?s breasts is called breastfeeding. Human breast milk apart from being the healthiest form of milk intake for infants and new born babies is also the most recommended. The most recommended time span for breast feeding is six months, however it can extend beyond this provided no artificial formula added or solid food.
Before a mother can breast feed her child, measures must be taken to make sure the mother is not under the course of any drug or is not infected with HIV or tuberculosis. The death tolls of the infants are rising in developing and developed countries due to resorting to artificial feeding of the infants. There can never be a better substitute to breastfeeding, which promotes good health, prevents diseases and also cuts down on the feeding costs. My next post will be about, breastfeeding tip.
