Many people of retirement age want a nice home but they want it to be affordable and easy to maintain. They’d rather spend their time and money on doing things, not on taking care of their house. Investigate an existing retirement community well before you buy. Visit the site and see if the people there are compatible, if the activities interest you, if the homes are well maintained and if you feel like it’s a good fit. Talk to residents about why they love their retirement community. If the first one you visit doesn’t work, try another retirement community until you find one that’s for you.
