There are some people in this world with too much money.  Not anyone I know, but I’ve heard of a few.  These people are the ones that have too much money in their retirement accounts and have no need to take their Ira Minimun Distribution.  For those people, if they choose, they can actually donate their distribution to a qualified charity of their choice.  As long as they are seventy and a half or older, they are able to use their distribution as a federally tax free donation.  These types of donations are often referred to as Qualified Charitable Contributions, or QCD.  Now, I just need to figure out how to classify myself as a QCD.
