Candidiasis otherwise known as the yeast infection is caused by a fungus variety named candida albicans. The moisture laden areas of the skin are more prone to be infected with yeasts. The factor responsible is yeast multiplication owing to body’s poor immunoresponse, antibiotics and high blood sugar level.

The infected region starts developing itchiness, redness, soreness in the initial stages and then turns in to threatening disorders. Candidemia is the stage where these infections have affected the body systems and this mainly occurs in immunodeficient individuals. Though treatments vary depending on type of infection, normally antifungal pills and creams are prescribed for all affected patients. My next post will be about, home cure for yeast infection.
