I wanted to work for a Toronto interior design company but there were none available. I started going around to the local companies even asking to intern. I finally found a great company that offered me a part time position in the mail room and I started the next day. This was a great way to get into a great company and maybe learn a little about the interior design field. Nobody knew me until the manager of the department saw me working on sketches during my lunch break. He really liked what he saw and I got a promotion on the spot.
