An Introduction packet is crucial when courting a potential client. Having one on hand to send out when someone requests information on your products or services will put you ahead of the pack.

All small businesses should have a packet of small business marketing materials to send to prospective clients.  When a potential client makes contact, you should send them a business card, a brochure, some samples of your work if you have them and some customer testimonials.

This way, they can evaluate what it is that you can do for them to help them reach their business goals.

A good website can also provide these informational materials . However, when someone goes the next step and contacts you, make sure that the materials that you send out are appropriate, address their specific needs and also add a personal ,handwritten note. A brief “Thank you for your interest” and your signature will suffice. But you have added a personal touch that is invaluable.

A follow up phone call  is another nice personal touch.  In this phone call, try to set up a meeting to further discuss your services and what you  can do for the client.

Good information with a personal touch can go the distance.
